Lincoln's eye - Mount Rushmore National Memorial, SD. To perform the finishing work on Lincoln's eyes, men in "cages" were lowered into position in front of each eye. When the stone had been removed as instructed after careful study from below, the position of the cage could be adjusted in order to scrutinize the effect from various viewpoints.Photo: Russ Finley Film Size 6X7cm
