Chisos Mountains (?) - Big Bend National Park, TX. Big Bend National Park is located in extreme southern Texas where the Rio Grande River makes a sharp turn (the "Big Bend"). The Chisos Mountains, seen here, are the principal mountain range. They contain a high oasis, at 5,400 feet, where a completely different environment exists compared to the desert floor below.
